Let's see. First I noticed the fancy colored
eggs. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some are in one single
color. Others are very elaborate with many colors. So I began
this internal dialogue with myself. "I wonder what they
represent?"
And over there I see rabbits. There seem to
be rabbits in all shapes and sizes and colors as well. I wonder
what that could mean? Oh yes, over there is an entire aisle
containing nothing but chocolate. In
fact, there are many rabbits and many eggs made of chocolate.
So, let me see, we have colored eggs, and
rabbits, and chocolate. Boy, I don't have any idea what this
holiday represents. So, I better continue my search.
I see a bunch of baskets over there. Many
of them have some really funny colored plastic stuff inside.
I think it's suppose to be grass. But I've never seen neon
pink grass before. Oh look, some of the baskets have the funny
plastic stuff and eggs and chocolate and even rabbits inside
and they are wrapped up so you can buy it all as a package.
How neat. You can buy one already fixed or you can mix and
match and create your own, filling it with funny colored plastic
grass, and plastic or chocolate eggs, and fuzzy or chocolate
rabbits. I guess these baskets must be very significant to
the holiday.
Hey, wait a minute, none of the other baskets
look like this. Here is a basket with the funny plastic stuff
in the bottom. And it has a few colored eggs. I don't see
any rabbits though - they must have forgot. But look at all
this really cool military stuff inside. There is a guy in
military uniform, and a helicopter, and a tank, and all sorts
of other military stuff.
Wow, what kind of holiday must this be?
Maybe there were some military guys with helicopters
and tanks who attacked these unsuspecting rabbits. Hey, maybe
the rabbits won. And in celebration, maybe they colored a
bunch of eggs and use it as a token to remember that they
were victorious."
What a ridiculous scenario!
Of course I don't actually have Easter Amnesia.
I do find it very odd and interesting that military toys are
now being offered as a way for children to celebrate Easter.
What does any of this have to do with the Easter holiday anyway?
Well the eggs and rabbits represent the new
babies that happens in Spring. They are symbols left over
from pagen celebrations that have been going on for eons.
Who knows why the baskets and plastic grass came about? But
the military toys? Well that one, to my knowledge, is new
just this year! Yippey!
Sorry, but my three year old won't be getting
one of those.
So back to the original problem I was trying
to solve. What is Easter really about? Well it is a totally
awe inspiring thing. Have you ever read the Celestine Prophecy?
In the final chapter the hero of the story and his friends
had raised their vibration so much that they started rising
up off the ground and they actually became invisible to other
people. You see, they Ascended!
They raised their vibration enough to jump
into another dimension. In this case it wasn't really a jump.
It was more like a slowly fading from view in this dimension
and raising up and materializing in the next dimension.
Easter is about a man named Yeshua ben Joseph
(Jeshua or Jesus) who did the same thing. While other people
were watching, he raised his vibration to such a degree that
he began to rise up into the air (Ascend if you will) and
he appeared less and less solid until he totally disappeared.
He did this while others watched to SHOW US
that it is possible. He was here as a guide and a reminder
of what we can all become.
So next month when you are eating your chocolate
bunny - think about the real meaning of the holiday.
